The Bangalore Metro network, which is also known as the Namma Metro, is developed by Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). Bangalore Metro Blue train timings

  • Contactless Smart Cards: The smart cards are designed for multiple journeys. Travellers can get a discount of 15% to 23%, using these smart cards.
  • Metro Bus Ticket Day Pass: It is an integrated ticket that allows unlimited travel on the metro and non-AC buses for a day. The Saraag ticket costs Rs 70, and can be used for metro and non-AC buses.
  • Varshik Cards: It is a rechargeable card and it can store an amount up to Rs 1,500.
  • Sanchar Cards: It is a multi-trip card that can be used for 100 trips, and the minimum fare is Rs 7.65.

  4. Select the station name by entering the station name or share your location
  5. Choose any route: Green Line or Purple Line, or Blue Line

  7. Check booking details, complete payment through WhatsApp or any digital payment mode

Metro Ride app

Travellers can make use of the Metro Ride app, which enables them to get services across all metro stations in Bangalore. Travellers can download and install this mobile app on an iPhone or Android. Then they can use the app to book any ride to the desired metro station.

Namma Metro Blue Line details of construction

The Blue Line Metro is a 58.19 km section that has 30 metro stations. There are two phases - Phase 2A and Phase 2B. Under Phase 2, 72 km of metro line is built at a cost of Rs 56,000 Crores. The Phase 2A project will be completed by mid-2026.

The cost of the Blue Line is around Rs 14,788 crores. The Blue Line metro phase 2A and 2B is funded by the contribution of Rs 3973 crore from the government.
