The Bangalore Metro network, which is also known as the Namma Metro, is developed by Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). The upcoming Blue Line of Bangalore is also known as the ORR Airport Metro Line. It will ease travel to the major areas, such as Hebbal, KR Puram, and Marathahalli.
The Blue Metro train timings are from 5 AM to 11 at night, and the frequency is from 4 to 20 minutes. On Sundays, the train timings are from 7 AM to 11 PM.
The minimum metro fare on the Bangalore Metro Blue Line is Rs 10, and the maximum ticket fare is Rs 90.

The Blue Line Metro is a 58.19 km section that has 30 metro stations. There are two phases - Phase 2A and Phase 2B. Under Phase 2, 72 km of metro line is built at a cost of Rs 56,000 Crores. The Phase 2A project will be completed by mid-2026.
The cost of the Blue Line is around Rs 14,788 crores. The Blue Line metro phase 2A and 2B is funded by the contribution of Rs 3973 crore from the government.
The BMRCL plans to extend the Metro network to 220 km over the next 5 years. Six new metro routes on the Blue Line and Pink Line will be added, covering 143 km with 95 new metro stations.

The BMRCL has an official mobile app called Namma Metro App, which enables travellers to access details related to the Metro stations list, route map, and fare. Travellers can download the mobile app from the app stores on their smartphones.
The upcoming Bangalore Blue Metro Line will boost access by linking areas in the eastern part of the city to the major IT hubs.
